We offer free, confidential STI screening, HIV testing, counseling, treatment and education.
Sexually transmitted infections (STI) can be transferred from one person to another through sexual contact. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are more than 15 million STI cases reported in the United States each year.
Teenagers and young adults age 15-24 are at greatest risk for acquiring an STI. Each year 3 million become infected.
Most STIs are treatable, but herpes, AIDS and genital warts have no cure. Some of these infections can be deadly. Syphilis, AIDS, genital warts, herpes, hepatitis, and even gonorrhea have all been known to cause death. Therefore, education about these infections and prevention are important.
STI Testing
The health department offers confidential pregnancy testing. Temporary Medicaid is available upon request. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, please contact our office.
